Re: Local Waterfront Revitalization Coastal Consistency Review for the Bay to Sound Trail
Phase 2
The proposed action to construct 8 boardwalks totaling 230' in length, (2) 12' x12' observation
blinds, daylight 90' of Moore's Drain, install 50' of premade foot bridge and clean up dilapidated
farm buildings and trash, has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of
the Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP)
Policy Standards. Based upon the information provided to this department as well as the
records available to me, it is my recommendation that the proposed action is CONSISTENT with
the LWRP-Policy Standards and therefore is CONSISTENT_with the LWRP, specifically:
Policy 9. Provide for public access to, and recreational use of, coastal waters, public lands, and
public resources of the Town of Southold.
9.9 Promote appropriate and adequate physical public access and recreation to coastal
resources.
9.2 Protect and provide public visual access to coastal lands and waters from public
sites and transportation routes where physically practical.
9.3 Preserve the public interest in and use of lands and waters held in public trust by the
state and the Town of Southold.
9.5 Provide access and recreation that is compatible with natural resource values.
Pursuant to Chapter 268, the reviewing agency shall consider this recommendation in preparing
its written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.

proposed actions that are subject to the Town of Southold Waterfront Consistency Review Law. This
assessment is intended to supplement other information used by a Town of Southold agency in
making a determination of consistency. `Except minor exempt actionsincluding Building Permits
and other ministerial permits not located within the Coastal Erosion Haz rd Area.
2 •Before answering the questions'in Section C, the preparer of this form should review the exempt
minor action Iist, policies and explanations of each policy contained in the Town of Southold Local
Waterfront Revitalization Program. A proposed action will be evaluated as to its significant
beneficial and adverse effects upon the coastal area(which includes all of Southold Town
