SCTM #1000-109.-1-10.1 Location: 23195 NYS Route 25 in Cutchogue The Town of Southold is considering the acquisition of development rights on part of a property consisting of approximately 51.6± acres (subject to survey) of the 53.472±acre parcel owned by Carnation Properties, Inc. located within the Agriculture Conservation (AC) zoning district. The north section of the parcel is located within the Special Groundwater Protection Area#3, a NYSDEC Critical Environmental Area. The extinguishment of development rights on the parcel will not result in a moderate to large impact on this Critical Environmental Area: The action have been reviewed to Chapter 130 Environmental Quality Review of the Southold Town Code and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation regulation 6NYCCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review and it is my recommendation that the Town Board, as lead agency, issue a Negative Declaration for this Unlisted Action pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617, Section 617.7 of the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA).
