Dear Ms. Berry:
The Southold Town Board,of Trustees reviewed the site plan of Studio a/b Architects
received on August 25, 2021 and determined that the proposed installation of an I/A
OWTS-system, one-story dwelling and swimming pool on the captioned property is out
of the Wetland jurisdiction under Chapter 275 of the Town Wetland Code and Chapter
111 of the Town Code.
Please be advised we have received notification from owner at 6815 Soundview
Avenue (SCTM#: 1000-59-6-1) that contrary to what current "map" states their home is
NOT on city water. They use well water with their own private well.
Therefore, in accordance with the current Wetlands Code (Chapter 275) and the
Coastal Erosion Hazard Area (Chapter 111) no permit is required.
Please be advised, however, that no clearing, no removal of vegetation, no cut or
fill of land or removal of sod; no-construction, sedimentation, or disturbance of
any,kind may take place within 100' landward from the top of the bluff, or seaward
of the tidal and/or freshwater wetlands jurisdictional boundary or seaward of the
coastal erosion hazard area as indicated above, without further application to,
and written authorization from, the Southold Town Board of Trustees pursuant to
Chapter 275 and/or Chapter 111 of the Town Code.
It is your responsibility to ensure that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent any
sedimentation or other alteration or disturbance to the ground surface or vegetation
within Tidal Wetlands jurisdiction and Coastal Erosion Hazard Area, which may result
from your project. Such precautions may include maintaining adequate work area
between the tidal wetland jurisdictional boundary and the coastal erosion hazard area
and your project or erecting a temporary fence, barrier, or hay bale berm.
This determination is not a determination from any other agency.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call.

I received a Certified USPS Letter advising me of the Town of Southold Board of Town Trustees
Work Session and Public Hearings scheduled for Wednesday September 15, 2021 at 5pm and
5:30pm,regarding Environmental Review and Permit Requests by Charles Rosenbaum which
are currently under review by the Town of Southold for the above noted property.
After looking over the enclosed plan of the property and proposal, I want to correct his statement
that I am on city water.
In fact, this is not correct:
Contrary to what his Certified mailing map states My home is NOT on city water. We are on
well water,using our own private well.
Please note this correction on your records and these plans.
I plan to attend your public meeting on September 15th by Zoom.

Dear Board of Trustees,
In response to our phone conversation today,we are amending the description as follows:
Within the Trustee's jurisdictional area,the project will build a new gravel driveway connecting to the
existing one. It will also delineate the landward edge of a 50' non-disturbance buffer with either a split-
rail fence (using non-treated wood posts), a stone wall, or boulders with native plantings, all with
sufficient elevation/spacing/penetrations in the wall or boulders to allow the natural flow/passage of
water and small animals that inhabit this area.Some clearing will be executed,with a lawn in front of
the house, as shown on the plans.The installation of underground water and electrical service are also
within the jurisdictional area.A silt fence is proposed to protect the wetlands during the contruction.
We would also request that the Trustees issue a non-jurisdiction letter for the house and sanitary
system, as this is requested by the Suffolk County Department of Health Services.
