TREASURER'S REPORT (A. Noricarr®w) Presented/Discussed: I • Bill Payment Register dated July 8, 2021 • Budget Ledger dated,June 30, 2021 • Balance sheet dated July 8, 2021 • Commissioners reviewed,Purchase Orders and approved where needed j Motion by G Lomaga, seconded by C Gueli, all in favor and motion carried unanimously to accept and approve,the-Treasurer's Report. 'Old Business Veteran's Park • The first concert held on July 2, 2021 was successful and well received. • There were approximately 35 attendees, due to the weatherthe,event"was held inside. • D Geis asked how much in donations were received, $10,250.00 was received. This amount will cover the cost of the,series. Helium Balloons ! • ' The Commissioners discussed banning helium-balloons-at,events. G Lomaga would like MPD to be a leader in environmental issues i • The Commissioners decided to ban helium balloons beginning August 1, 2021, Rubber Matting • C Gueli feels the'rubber matting for the playground may not'work if the sand is not grated first. • G Lomaga would like to get prices for and look at all of the options first, ( trex, matting or pavers) • N Deegan will get the prices and the Commissioners will review at the August work session New Business Veteran's Park • G Lomaga suggested if there is a rain day, are the Lifeguards or Beach Attendants available to do other work at the Parks. • They are paid for 4 hours if Parks are closed as they are on-call • This issue will be discussed for next season. • N Deegan suggested if guest,come in on Sunday and are riot able to purchase a permit (after proof of residency) the Beach Attendants can,let them in and the resident can return on Monday and purchase the sticker. Breakwater Beach �i • The no parking signs that Southold Town installed are no longer posted • G Lomaga noted that the no swimming sign posted by the jetty is illegible • N Deegan suggested going to Unique-Signs in Southold make a "Swimming Prohibited" sign • There are signs stored at Aldrich Lane the Commissioners will review for f possible use at Breakwater at the next work session Bench Donation i • There is another bench being donated G Lomaga suggested to place the bench I to the west in front ofthe pavilion on the concrete. • C Gueli will look at the suggested place and get back to the other Commissioners. RESOLUTIONS RESOLUTION;2021-57 RESOLUTION SETTING MEETING DATES FOR AUGUST 2021 i RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District hereby set the following meeting dates for the month,of August 2021: Work Session; Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 6:30 P.M. and monthly meeting, Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 6:30 P.M. RESOLUTION 2021-59 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF TWO DEFIBRILLATORS 1 RESOLVED the Board of Commissioners,of the Mattituck Park District hereby approves the purchase of two defibrillators; one for placement,at Aldrich Lane and one for placement at Veteran's Park Community room in the amount of$1350.00 per unit. RESULT: Motion by, C Gueli, seconded by G Lomaga , all in favor and motion carried unanimously to approve Resolution 2021-5'9 RESOLUTION 2021-60 I RESOLUTION TO AMEND BUDGET TO'MOVE MONEY FROM SITE IMPROVEMENT LINE ITEM TO SITE REPAIR LINE ITEM RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners-of the,Mattituck Park District herebya the approves roves i Treasurer to move $50,000.00 from the Site Improvement line item,to the Site Repair line item to cover necessary repairs. 4 WHEREAS no site improvements were'needed but site repairs were necessary.
