Project Description: To erect signs as follows: At Main Hotel: 58855 CR48 — 12'h x
6'w (72sq.ft.); Traffic Signs: 58775 CR48—Two (2) 2'hx1.2'w (2.4sq.ft.) plus posts;
Accessible Parking: 59725 CR 48—2'hx1'w (2sq.ft.) plus post.
Findings: The project meets all the requirements for issuance of an Administrative
Permit set forth in Chapter 275 of the Southold Town Code. The issuance of an
Administrative Permit allows for the operations as indicated on the site plan prepared by
Jean Lambertus, received on August 25 2021, and stamped approved on September 15,
2021.
Special Conditions: None.
Inspections: Final Inspection.
If the proposed activities do not meet the requirements for issuance of an Administrative
Permit set forth in Chapter 275 of the Southold Town Code, a Wetland Permit will be
required.
This is not a determination from any other agency.

The attached includes all of the updated information to include only those that were requested to be included (those
that are near wetlands): SV-01,SV-04,SV-05, &SV-12. I've also attached the Design Document (no change from initial
submittal). Updated pictures of different angles were shared yesterday. Below is a summary.
Proiect Description
The road exchange/move and associated improvements displaced our former sign age/wayfind i ng and was not
salvageable. We want to fabricate the various signs noted here to maximize wayfinding and safety to guests
visiting the property. Please see attached application and design document.
Signs for Trustee Review
? "Main Hotel ID" (SV-01)-
o Located on 44-2-22 at 58855 CR 48
o Land Area SF Occupied by Sign- 7.8 (6' x 1.3')
o Size of Sign- 12'h x 6'w= 72 SF (thus, exceeds the size of town code and will require ZBA
process) total structure size (no posts)
o Material- Mahogany
o Requires a Building Permit(currently under review by Building & Planning-we are installing a mock-up
of this sign for Planning to review)
o Will require involvement from the ZBA once a notice of disapproval is provided by the Building
Department(who is waiting on feedback from Planning to do so) 1. ;
o Purpose: will help guests notice the property and in particular the hotel lobby/valet/restaurant
entrance.

o Located on 44.-2-20 at 58775 CR 48
o Combined Land Area SF Occupied by Sign- 0.22 (4" x 4" * 2)

code and does not require the ZBA)
o Material-thick metal panels on kiln dried wood posts
o Does not require a Building Permit (approved by Building & Planning)
o Does not require involvement by the ZBA
o Purpose: will provide for means of ingress and egress into the hotel and restaurant's drop off
and valet driveway that is one-way.

o Located on 44-2-23 at 59725 CR 48
o Land Area SF Occupied by Sign- 0.11 (4" x 4")
o Size of Sign- 2'h x 1'w = 2 SF + post so total height becomes 7' (thus, within code and does not
require the ZBA)
o Material-thick metal panels on kiln dried wood posts
o Does not require a Building Permit(approved by Building & Planning)
o Does not require involvement by the ZBA
o Purpose: will fulfill a need to meet ADA guidelines for an ADA parking space.

? Note-there are other signs that were included in the original application but were told to exclude since distant
from wetlands (SV-02 &SV-03)that are being reviewed by Building and Planning and will require ZBA Process
like SV-01.

Hi Diane-as discussed, writing this e-mail if you can share with John Bredemeyer for confirmation.
On the below comment,we will certainly come back to the Trustees on SV-01. However, on SV-04, 05, & 12, we didn't
intend for this initial application to cover those signs.Those signs fall within the Town Code and were approved for us to
proceed by both the Building& Planning Departments (see attached e-mails).They do not require ZBA approval. We
weren't aware that we needed to receive Trustees approval on those signs.Those signs have been placed into
fabrication but have not yet been installed. Please let us know if Trustees still needs to get involved on SV-04, 05, & 12,
and if so, what do you require now-do we need to complete a new Trustees application, field inspection pre and/or post
installation, etc.?
