PLANNING BOARD OFFICE
TOWN OF SOUTHOLD
MEMORANDUM
To: Glenn Goldsmith, President
Town of Southold Board of Trustees
From: Mark Terry, AICP
LWRP Coordinator
Date: September 14, 2021
Re: LWRP Coastal Consistency Review of KERRIE-ANN & CHRISTOPHER COHEN
SCTM# 1000-56-7-13
KERRIE-ANN & CHRISTOPHER COHEN request an Administrative Permit for the as-built removal
of limbs and trimming of trees; and the as-built removal of five (5) trees. Located: 195 Albacore
Drive, Southold. SCTM#: 1000-56-7-13
The Board approved the construction of the single-family residence in 2001. In 2004 the Board
observed clearing and required replanting in the non-disturbance buffer. Submitted materials show
that the trees to be removed are not within the non-disturbance buffer.
The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the
Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy
Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form
submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that
the proposed action is CONSISTENT with the LWRP policies and therefore CONSISTENT with the
LWRP.
Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its
written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.
