Regular Meeting Called to Order: 3:30 pm
Attendees: Chairperson Ostroski,Vice Chairperson Surchin, Commissioner McCarthy,
Commissioner Santana, and Commissioner Wexler.

Motion to approve June 17, 2021, meeting minutes, by, Commissioner Surchin,21d by,
Commissioner McCarthy, AYES: Ostroski, Surchin, McCarthy, Santana and Wexler.
Motion approved.
Public Hearings:
3:40 nm: Glacier Point/Cavagnaro, represented by AMP Architecture,proposal to increase
the size of the previously approved second story deck to an existing single-family dwelling
@ 265 Racketts Court, Orient,NY

• Scope of work included increasing the second story deck to 185 sq./ft. as applied for.
• Additional newel posts and a flat finish to the deck railings was proposed.
• No public comment.
Motion to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for the second story deck addition alteration
as applied for, by, Commissioner Wexler, 2nd by, Commissioner McCarthy,
AYES: Ostroski, Surchin, McCarthy, Santana and Wexler.
Motion approved.
3:48pm-Tomashevski, represented by Eileen Wingate,proposed demolition of an existing
accessory building & construct a new accessory structure @ 370 Tuckers Lane, Southold,NY

• Scope of work included the demolition of an existing accessory and constructing a new 704 sq/ft.
accessory building,applied for.
• Photo of barn doors was approved by commissioners.
• No public comment.
Motion to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for the demolition of an existing accessory
building and the construction of a new accessory structure once a hard copy of the barn door
details is submitted, as applied for, by, Commissioner Santana, 2nd by, Commissioner Surchin,
AYES: Ostroski, Surchin, McCarthy, Santana and Wexler.
Motion approved.
4:12pm-Turturro, represented by Robert Wilson and architect Hideaki Ariizumi, proposal
to construct a new door in place of an existing window and the installation of security
cameras to an existing building @ 1000 Village Lane, Orient,NY

Motion to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness to construct a new door in place of an existing
window and the installation of security cameras, as applied for, by, Commissioner McCarthy, 2"d

4:33pm- Christ/Ockenden,proposed window replacements to an existing single-family
dwelling @ 22715 Rte 25, Orient,NY

Motion to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for the window replacements was deferred at
this time until a site visit and additional information about the window manufacturer
specifications were provided to the Historic Preservation Commission. Commissioners agreed
to keep the hearing open and to render a decision within the designated timeline.
No vote was required at this time.
Old Business:
1. HPC Town Website and Laserfiche update will continue as necessary.
2. No date has been set at this time for T. Webb and R.Harper Orient Historic District Preservation
Program co-sponsored by the OA and OHS. (Mariella Ostroski)
3. Murphy home plaque presentation date to be determined(Joseph McCarthy).
4. Updates on Asch property award will be removed from old business into progress can be made.
(Anne Surchin).
