Quail Unoccupied Upon request of the Southold Town Building Department I made inspection of this two story, two apartment dwelling and found the following violations of Local Law #1, Housing Code of the Town of Southold. I picked up key as per instructions in appli- cation from the real estate office of Stanley Waimey, Main Road, Cutchogue, New York. By letting myself into the south entrance of the building I began this inspection at approximately 3:05 P.M. FIRST FLOOR APARTMENT Vestibule- No light switch near point of entry for controlling light in room - Section 529b. Pantry - Off kitchen - loose plaster on walls - Section 303c. Kitchen - No light switch near point of entry at west entrance for controlling light in room - Section 529b. Living Room - No lighting fixture - Section 208b. Occupied, owner seasonal Upon receipt of an application for a Pre-Existing Certificate of Occupancy I made an inspection of the buildings at this location. I was admitted to dwelling by Mr. Cannon who accompanied me during this inspection that began at apprrox- imately 3 :25 P. M. , A previous inspection was made on August 21, 1972 to which Certificate of Ocuppancy #24768 was issued on August 29, 1972. The dwelling is a wood framed two story building constructed on a red brick masonry and concrete block foundation. Cellar is partial, balance of foundation is crawl space: Dwelling is in the process of being revovate Building has e complete rewired with a ne electri vice. Provisions ave een made in earoom for electric heat. Electrical work was left open for an Un erwri ers inspection. The first floor contains a front entry hallway, bedroom, 1 living room, dining room, kitchen, pantry, laundry room and a �full bathroom. Domestic hotwater is furnished from an electric hotwater heater in cellar. s� Accessory building in rear yard area was moved from its location and a cement block foundation has been constructed for this building. While buildings are in the process of renovation, •it would appear that the dwelling meets requirements of the Housing Code, Chapter 52, code of the Town of Southold, N. Y. for a one family dwelling. There was one violation of this Chapter. The electrical connection made to hotwater heater left the wires exposed outside of junction box without protective cover. Art. V, Section 52-56 A. 1. Small four room building on southwest corner of property used as sleeping quarters, does not meet standards for dwelling. Two rooms are under eighty square feet - Section 206b. No plumbing facilities, Section 505a, b. Romf on north end, shingles missing - Section 302c. Porch floor springy and rotted - Section 301a. No heat Section 513.
