Located: 63735 Route 48, Greenport. SCTM# 1000-40-1-20.2 The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that the action is CONSISTENT with the Policy Standards and therefore is CONSISTENT with the LWRP provided that: 1. Rocks naturally occurring in the environment or in public ownership should not be used in the structure. 2. Policy 4.1 Minimize losses of human life and structures from flooding and erosion hazards supports the installation of hardened shoreline structures where vegetative methods are not effective at controlling erosion and that are: a. limited to the minimum scale necessary b. based on sound engineering practices— it is recommended that the Board address potential impacts to the unprotected, flanking properties. Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.
