Trustee permit has been recorded with the Suffolk County Clerk's Office as a notice covenant
and deed restriction to the deed of the subject parcel. Such evidence shall be provided within
ninety (90) calendar days of issuance of this permit.
Permit fees are now due. Please make check or money order payable to Town of Southold.
The fee is computed below according to the schedule of rates as set forth in Chapter 275 of the
Southold Town Code.
The following fee must be paid within 90 days or re-application fees will be necessary. You will

Suffolk Environmental Consulting, Inc. on behalf of PAUL & CAROLYN AZZARITI requests a
Wetland Permit for the as-built reconstruction of the existing dock assembly measuring ±78' in
overall length, consisting of a 4'x48' fixed elevated catwalk with open grate decking and supported
by six (6) 6"xT posts; a 3'x14' hinged ramp; and a 6'x20' floating dock secured by two (2) 6"
diameter pilings in an "I" configuration. Located: 1175 Waterview Drive, Southold. SCTM# 1000-
78-7-15
The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the
Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy
Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form
submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that
the action is INCONSISTENT with the below listed Policy Standards and therefore is
INCONSISTENT with LWRP.
6.3 Protect and restore tidal and freshwater wetlands.
A. Comply with statutory and regulatory requirements of the Southold Town Board of
Trustees laws and regulations for all Andros Patent and other lands under their
jurisdiction
1. Comply with Trustee regulations and recommendations as set forth in Trustee
permit conditions.
The dock structure was constructed without the benefit of the Board of Trustees
review and a Wetlands Permit.
Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its
written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.

proposed actions that are subject to the Town of Southold Waterfront Consistency Review Law. This

Subject proposal is consistent with the policy in that the siting/utilization of the reconstructed dock
assembly maintains the character of the surrounding neighborhood, which currently consists of many
similarly-improved residential lots with similar accessory structures (i.e. dock assemblies). In addition, the
reconstructed dock will be in harmony with the".. beneficial use of a coastal location..." in that the legally
created residential waterfront(i.e. coastal) lot is enhanced by the reconstructed dock assembly in order
to maintain access to the contiguous surface waters. Accordingly, we believe that this project is
consistent with this policy.

surrounding area is currently comprised of properties improved with similar appurtenances(i.e. dock
assemblies) of similar size and scope. Scenic resources, assumedly views of Goose Creek, are not at
risk due to the reconstructed dock assembly being typical of the character of this section of waterfront.
Accordingly, this proposal will comply with Policy 3.
