This letter is a follow up to your letter of June 8, 2021. The Board of Trustees reviewed
your request to remove the two (2) trees near the garage that are problematic and
within 100' of the wetlands, as reviewed and seen by Trustee Greg Williams.
The Board of Trustees determined that these two (2) trees may be removed at this time.
No permit will be required in order,to remove these trees.-
Any other activity within 100' of=the wetland boundary requires a permit from this office.
This is not a determination from any other agency.

Dear Diane,
My name is Mae Sitler and my family has had a home here in Peconic since 1991. Because we live so close to
the Goldsmith Inlet, we respect all the nature that is here. Throughout the years,two trees next to the garage
have grown tremendously and we are concerned that they will cause a hazard in the near future. I confirmed
with the Shamrock Tree Company, a local professional tree removal company and they are also concerned that
the two trees have a girdling root that is choking both trees (please see attached photos). This will eventually
cause the trees to die.
Since this is my mother's home (Patricia Sitler) and she cannot fulfill her duties as a homeowner, I have power
of attorney to act on behalf of my mother to make those decisions.
