BRION LEWIS & LESLIE SWITCH request a Wetland Permit to reduce the wood deck at top of
bluff within CEHA; 525sq.ft. of existing, 199sq.ft. proposed to remain. Located: 62615 County Road
48, Greenport. SCTM# 1000-40-1-8.
In 2018 a similar action was proposed and recommended as INCONSISTENT.
The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the
Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy
Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form
submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that
the proposed 199' sq. ft. deck is INCONSISTENT with the LWRP Policies 4 and 6.3 and therefore,
INCONSISTENT with the LWRP.
This recommendation was made based upon the following:
By definition the area where the deck is located is a bluff pursuant to Chapter 111. Coastal Erosion
Hazard Areas Definitions.

The proposed action does not meet Policy 0.3. The deck structures were constructed without
obtaining o VVaUanda Permit and Coastal Erosion Permit.
Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its
written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.
