Pursuant to Executive Order 202.1 of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo in-person access by the public will not be permitted. Town residents are invited to attend the public meetings virtually via the Zoom online platform. Written comments may also be submitted via email to the Trustees Clerks at elizabethc@south-oldtownny.gov and diane.disalvo@town.southold.ny.us. Said comments will be considered at the public hearing provided that they are submitted no later than 12:00 P.M. (Prevailing Time) on the day of the public hearing. The public will have access to view and listen to the meeting as it is happening via Zoom. If you do not have access to a computer or smartphone, there is an option to listen in via telephone. [HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Southold 12-27-1995 by L.L. No.25-1995.Amendments noted where applicable.] §55-1. Providing notice of public hearings. [Amended 6-3-2003 by L.L. No. 12-2003] Whenever the Code calls for a public hearing this section shall apply. Upon determining that an application or petition is complete, the board or commission reviewing the same shall fix a time and place for a public hearing thereon. Notice relating to a public hearing on an application or petition shall be provided as follows: A. Town responsibility for publication of notice. The reviewing board or commission shall cause a notice giving the time; date,-place and nature of the hearing to be published in the officialnewspaper within the period prescribed by law. B. Applicant or-petitioner responsibility-for posting and mailing notice.
