Box 1179 Southold, NY 11971 Dear Town of Southold Board of Trustees: I was issued a ticket on March 8th 2021 for doing work in my backyard without the approval from trustees, because my backyard was within 100 feet of a wetland. I was not aware of this violation at the time. I'm writing this letter to request to fill level and plant grass in my backyard. I would like to fill in front of the house because of safety issues.There is a sharp steep decline where my deck ends and then steep incline as you move towards. It's not possible for elderly visitors such as my grandma and kids such as my nieces to walk without help. Filling this section of the backyard and to level out with the rest of the backyard is what I want. I would like to level the rest of backyard as well and plant grass. Lastly, I would like to put up a fence once I'm done with everything.The fence will be for my dog. I had a court case back in 2019 where judge demanded that my backyard had to be fenced and my german shepherd dog to stay in my backyard of all time. He can only go to the vet when needed. I can't take him for a walk and basically my backyard where I have to exercise him. For this reason, my backyard has to be fenced. Please see the survey where I show what I would like to do.
