All other repairs will be performed by hand and access will be through applicant's property. Statement of the effect,if any,on the wetlands and tidal waters of the town that may result by reason of such proposed operations (use attachments if appropriate): Platform repairs are landward of the existing bulkhead line which will have no influence over the wetlands or tidal waters of the Town. The rock armor along the bulkhead is a reasonable request in this high erosion area. There is no vegetative wetlands in the project location and rock armor will help disperse wave energy during tidal surges commonly endured in this area. The installation of new stairs from the bulkhead to the beach will provide safe access to the water. No adverse effects to the tidal waters is expected as a result of this proposal. Board of Trustees Application COASTAL EROSION APPLICATION DATA Purposes of proposed activity: To perform ordinary maintenance to existing structures; provide access to water from bulkhead; protect bulkhead with installing rock armoring in front of area that are void of armoring. Are wetlands present within 100 feet of the proposed activity? No X Yes Does the project involve excavation or filling? No X Yes If Yes,how much material will be excavated?-_ N/A (cubic yards) How much material will be filled? _ 422_ (cubic yards) Manner in which material will be removed or deposited: Rock and equipment will be transported to the site by barge.A small excavator will be used to put rock in place. Describe the nature and extent of the environmental impacts to the subject property or neighboring properties reasonably anticipated resulting from implementation of the project as proposed, including erosion increase or adverse effects on natural protective features. (Use attachments if necessary) The majority of the work will be performed landward of the bulkhead line. This work involves ordinary maintenance to the existing stair platform. Access will be by land through applicant's property and work will be performed by hand. Installation of a stairway from the bulkhead to the beach will provide the property owner access to the water and will not have any adverse impacts on the property or neighboring properties. Adding additional rock armoring along the bulkhead where rock currently does not exist,is reasonable and consistent in this high erosion area. The rock armoring will help disperse the wave energy this area commonly endures, reducing reflective wave energy which typically has an adverse effect on neighboring properties. Our proposal will reduce environmental impacts which typically result from unarmored flat faced bulkheads. 61 Z20 Appendix E Short Environmental Assessment Form Instructions for Completing Part 1-Project Information. All rock will be placed using an backhoe and/or small excavator. All other repairs will be performed by hand and access will be through applicant's property. Statement of the effect, if any, on the wetlands and tidal waters of the town that may result by reason of such proposed operations (use attachments if appropriate): Stair and platform repairs are landward of the existing bulkhead line which will have no influence over the wetlands or tidal waters of the Town. The additional rock armor along the bulkhead is a reasonable request in this high erosion area. There is no vegetative wetlands in the vicinity and rock armor will help disperse wave energy during tidal surges commonly endured in this area. The installation of new stairs from the bulkhead to the beach will provide safe access to the water. No adverse effects to the tidal waters is expected as a result of this proposal. 3®ard of Trustees ees AppliCat-a _71 COASTAL EROSION APPLICATION DATA Purposes of proposed activity: To perform ordinary maintenance to existing structures; provide access to water from bulkhead; protect bulkhead with installing rock armoring in front of area that are void of armoring. Are wetlands present within 100 feet of the proposed activity? No X Yes Does the project involve excavation or filling? No X Yes If Yes,how much material will be excavated? N/A (cubic yards) How much material will be filled? =__ 270 (cubic yards) Manner in which material will be removed or deposited: Rock and equipment will be transported to the site by barge. A small excavator will be used to put rock in place. — Describe the nature and extent of the environmental impacts to the subject property or neighboring properties reasonably anticipated resulting from implementation of the project as proposed, including erosion increase or adverse effects on natural protective features. (Use attachments if necessary) The majority of the work will be performed landward of the bulkhead line. This work involves ordinary maintenance to the existing stair structure. Our proposal will reduce environmental ' impacts which typically result from unarmored flat faced bulkheads. 617.20 Appendix B Short Environmental Assessment Foam Instructions for Completing Part 1 -Project Information.
