To limit the effects of ephemeral turbidity associated with the dredging,a silt curtain will be deployed around the proposed dredge site during the proposed dredge operations, and spoil will be trucked offsite to an approved upland source. The project will maintain the applicant's navigable water depths adjacent to his bulkheaded shoreline but will also contribute to maintaining the navigability of Fordham canal, thus aiding public access to and recreational use of the waterway The application also seeks legalization of a small on-grade patio in an existing lawn area and the installation of a concrete paver pool patio, which was installed in place of a previously existing pool patio after Hurricane Sandy. The patio is larger than the one it replaced but remains situated within a previously existing lawn area, approximately 41 feet from the canal. Therefore, the proposed dredging and maintenance of the patio areas will not significantly adversely impact the surrounding Town waters and tidal wetland ecosystem. 4 617.20 Appendix B Short Environmental Assessment Form Instructions for Completing Part I-Project Information. The applicant or project sponsor is responsible for the completion of Part 1.Responses become part of the application for approval or funding, are subject to public review, and may be subject to further verification.
