BE IT ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Southold as follows: I. Purpose. The purpose of this public hearing is to address a need for ADA compliant bathrooms in the Recreation Center, as well as dealing with impacts to the public's health, safety and welfare. H. Resolution No. 2021-456 is hereby amended to include the underlined words and strike the struck through words as follows: RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby modifies the 2021 Community Development Fund budgets as follows: Increase Revenues: CD.4910.00 Federal Aid, Cares Act Funding $ 330,000 Public Hearing—Amendment to CDBG July 27, 2021 page 2 Total $ 330,000 Increase Expenditures: CD8660.4.100.104 Community Development, COVID Cares Act Funding, Teviffi Hall Recreation Center Accessibility $ 200,000 CD8660.4.100.105 Community Development, COVID Cares Act Funding, Senior Center Vehicle $ 29,000 CD8660.4.100.106 Community Development, COVID Cares Act Funding, CAST $ 25,000 CD8660.4.100.107 Community Development, COVID Cares Act Funding, Family Service League $ 76,000 Total $ 330,000 III. SEVERABILITY If any clause, sentence, paragraph, section, or part of this amendment shall be adjudged by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the judgment shall not affect the validity of this law as a whole or any part thereof other than the part so decided to be unconstitutional or invalid. IV. EFFECTIVE DATE This shall take effect immediately as provided by law. This hearing has been advertised on the Town Clerk's bulletin board, the town website and the Suffolk Times, which I have notarized affidavits for. These funds may be used, and have been previously used for a variety of projects to be selected by local officials. Eligible activities include acquisition and demolition of blighted property, housing rehabilitation, elimination of physical barriers for the handicapped, other facilities and improvements, street reconstruction, code enforcement,public water projects, economic development,public services with a total allotment limited to 15%.. Town Residents are invited to attend this public hearing on Tuesday,January 5,20214:30 PM to express citizen views on local housing and community development needs relating to the Coronavirus outbreak (COVID 3) and needs to be met with these funds. This hearing has been noticed. I do have a copy here, notarized in the Suffolk Times as well as the Town Clerk bulletin board and website and that's it.
