Opening:

The Agricultural Advisory Committee meeting was called to order at 7:06 pm on November 19,
2020 in the Southold Town Hall meeting hall
Next Meeting (s)
- The next regular Agricultural Advisory Committee meetings will be held on December 2, 2020.
The location when possible will be the Town Hall conference room, if not the meetings will be
via Zoom. Currently the public is not allowed to attend the meetings due to COVID restrictions
but can participate and watch the meetings via Zoom.
Minutes and Administration:

Acceptance of minutes dated October 7 and October 21. Minutes were approved with noted
changes to the text and format. Going forward new format will be used.
Discussion about signing a letter of support for the SCALP program and to ask the Town Board
for approval for a letter of support from the Supervisor. Motion to approve the letter made by
Tom Stevenson, Seconded by Chris Baiz. ALL in favor.

Proposed Agricultural Revisions to Town Code:
Discussion of AgPDD (Town Code Chapter 280-170 to Chapter 280-181) Agreement
that AgPDD is good in concept but has had impediments to implementation in the Town
Sep suggested a simplified easement process for AgPDD Discussion about an
encumbrance vs standard easement
Scott suggested that the committee come before the Town Board to discuss these changes
and concerns. All agreed and we will try and get on the next work session agenda.
New Business:
Guest Speaker Sara Nappa discussed a possible code change to the Peddlers license. The
peddlers license was gone over and the members said they would discuss the possible
changes.
Email the supervisors office to have the Agricultural Advisory Committee on the agenda

for the next Town Board meeting on December 1. And to have a resolution added for
the Supervisor to sign the letter of support for the SCALP program.
