GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR CON[STRUCTION CONTRA.CT
GENERAL:
The information contained in the following Articles defines the various
conditions pertaining to the proposed construction and points out the
responsibilities of both the Contractor and the Owner.
DEFINITIONS:
The contract documents consist of the agreement, the General Conditions
of the contract, the Drawings and Specifications, including all modifi-
cations incorporated in them before execution.
The term '~work" of the Contractor includes all labor and raaterial to
provide for a finished piece of work and shall insure that all necessary
installations for each phase of the contract shall be a complete one.
What is called for in either the drawings or the specifications shall be
as binding as if called for by both.
All work must be done in accordance with the Zoning, Building, Sanitary
and other laws now in force in the locality in which the building is to
be erected.
MATERIALS AND WORK:
Ail work and materials employed in construct~on, unless otherwise speci-
fied~ shall be the best of their various kinds and shall sonfomwith the
local'building code.
Ail materials shall be ordered and delivered in ample time to facilitate
the work, and the Contractor shall properly store and protect all mater-
~als against damage.
ACCESS TO WORK:
Owner shall grant free access to work areas for workmen and vehicles, and
shall allow areas for storage of materials and rubbish. Owner agrees to
keep driveways clear and available for movement and parking of trucks
during normal work hours. Contractor and workmen shall not be expected
to keep gates closed for m~nals or children. Contractor shall not be
held responsible for damage to driveways, walks, lawns or shrubs by move-
ment of trucks.
PROTECTION OF OWNER ~ S BROPERTY:
Owner agrees to remove or to protect any personal property, inside and
out, including shrubs and flowers, and Contractor shall not be held
responsible for damage to said items.

PROPERTY LINES:
The Owner shall indicate to the Contractors the corners of the property
and shall assume all responsib~ l±tM for accuracy of ~rkers.
FI~If~D GROUND OR ROCK:
In event filled ground is encountered or rock or any other material not
removable by ordinary hand tools~ Owner shall pay cost plus 2(~ Con-
tractor's fee.
UNDERGROUND PIPES:
Contractor shall not be h~ld responsible for damage to, or removing of~
pipes, sprinkler lines, water or sewage disposal systems or conduits in
areas of excavation, grading~ paving or construction.
CONDUITS~ PIPES: DUCTS
Unless specifically indicated, agreed price does not include rerouting of
vents, pipes, ducts or wiring conduits that may be discovered in removal
of walls or cutting of openings in walls.
TERMITE WORK:
Contractor shall not be obligated under this contract to perfozw~ any work
to correct damage caused by rent, ires or dry rot.
PIASTER:
Contractor eall~ attention to the Owner to the limitations of patching
plaster~ and while Contractor shall make every effort to match existing
textures~ colors and planes; however, exact duplication is not guarenteed.
NOTICES A~[D PI~J4ITS:
The Contractor shall make application for and pay for all necessary and
required permits such as for building, water, p~np, gas, electric, oil
burner, tank, etc., complying ~ith all requirements of all authorities
having jurisdiction.
SCOPE OF THE WORK
The work under this contract s.~all consist of two distinct phases°
Phase one encompasses that po~bion of the addition referred to as Prefab
"Caps Cod IIouse" by STA~.C~.R and shall include the follovd~g:

with Heritage Tr~u and N 1020 fittings. Water Closet shall be white
Cadet No. F 2122.

INSTRUCTIONS
a. This application must be completely filled in by typewriter or in ink and submitted in duplicate to the Building
Inspector.
b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets ar
areas, and giving a detailed description of layout of propertymust be drawn on the diagram which is part of this application.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issue o Building Permit to the applicant. Such
permit shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the progress of the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose whatever until a Certificate of Occupancy
shall have been granted by the Building Inspector.
