Sepenoski Jr. Tom Stevenson Mark VanBourgondien Opening: The Agricultural Advisory Committee meeting was called to order at 7:10 pm on October 7, 2020 in the Southold Town Hall meeting hall. Next Meeting(s): st The next regular AAC meetings will be on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 7:00 pm in the Southold Town Hall meeting hall. Minutes and Administration: th Motion to accept the minutes dated September 9 minutes made by John B. Sepenoski Jr., seconded by Chris Baiz, all approved with the exception of John P. Sepenoski who abstained. rd Motion to accept the minutes dated September 23 minutes made by John B. Sepenoski Jr., seconded by Chris Baiz, all approved. Discussion regarding quorum guidelines given by the assistant Town Attorney Damon Hagan. An agreement was made by the members of the committee that to meet quorum for the Agricultural Advisory committee you need 5 committee members to vote positively. If only 5 committee members were present at the meeting, a unanimous vote would be required. Karen Rivera made a motion to approve these guideline, John B. Sepenoski Jr. seconded, ALL approved. Review Proposed Acquisition of Development Rights:  No new proposed Acquisitions presented to the committee for review. Proposed Agricultural Revisions to Town Code:  Committee review of the Draft of Chapter 70, Agricultural Lands Preservation.  Committee notes changes to the code, which will be redrafted by Chris Baiz to include those changes. Page 1 | 2 Town of Southold Agricultural Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes of October 7, 2020  Discussion on the definitions included in the code.  Discussion on easements  Discussion on appraisals  Discussion on the possibility of changing the language of existing easement to make them more friendly to agricultural Review of Agricultural related Site Plan Applications/Sub-Divisions:  No Agricultural related Site Plans or Applications/Sub Divisions were submitted to the Committee. Review Potential Agricultural District changes in Zoning: .  No Agriculture District Zoning changes presented. Local, County, State and Federal Legislation related to Agriculture:  No new Legislation to report. Review Applications for structures related to Agriculture on parcels with Town /County owned development rights.  No new applications submitted regarding structures for committee review. New Business:  AAC An email needs to be sent to the Town Board recommends ting that at least one local farmer be on the Land preservation committee to make sure that agricultural interests are looked after. Or that a member of the AAC also be on the LPC so there are some common goals.  DiscussionAn email needs to be sent to with the town attorney or town board to discuss minimum qualifications for committee members.
