Box 1179 Southold, N.Y. 11971 Re: Orient Yacht Club Wharf Pre-submittal Inspection Dear Trustees: The Orient Yacht Club wharf continues to experience severe damage from wave action on this historic stone and wood structure. Storms like hurricanes Irene and Sandy as well as other storms have caused failure of the"wave break" structures installed just behind the pilings on the north facing and west facing pilings. These views are shown on figures 2 and 3, attached. Figure 1 is an aerial picture. We have consulted with Crowley Marine and attach their proposal for a long term solution to the ongoing problem. This added protection of this old stone and fill structure is necessary for its structural integrity and also to protect the boats in the marina from storm wave action. We are hereby requesting a Pre-Submittal Inspection to discuss the viability of our proposed action. I have also enclosed the applicable filing fee. Sincerely, Keith Scott Morton Commodore 917-923-5494 Attach: photos Check for$50 PO Box 161, Orient, NY 11957
