HomeMy WebLinkAbout2020 November 5, 2020 edition Suffolk Times Newspapers Legal Notice: ANNUAL ELECTION FOR FIRE COMMISSIONER OF THE CUTCHOGUE FIRE DISTRICT Be it known that the ANNUAL ELECTION of the Cutchogue Fire District th will take place on Tuesday December 8, 2020 between the hours of 3:00 pm and 9:00 p.m. at the Cutchogue Fire House located at 260 New Suffolk Road, Cutchogue, NY. The purpose will be to elect (2) Commissioners: (1) Fire Commissioner for a 5-year term, commencing on January 1, 2021 and ending on December 31, 2025. All residents of the Cutchogue Fire District who have registered with the County Board of Elections by November 18th, 2020 shall be eligible to vote. Residents who wish to vote by absentee ballot may either call for mailing (631-734-6907) or pick up the applications at the firehouse commencing st November 21 8am. The “Permanently Disabled” will be receiving ballots via mail on November 23rd. Last day to make application to receive a ballot by mail is th December 1st. Last day to pick up ballot at Firehouse is December 7. Ballots th must be received at the Cutchogue Firehouse by Tuesday December 8by 5 PM. Candidates for District Office shall file with the District Secretary, a signed letter, with their address, declaring their intention as a candidate for the office of Fire Commissioner for a 5-year term in the 2020 election. Letter to be filed with the Secretary of the Cutchogue Fire District at 260 New Suffolk Road, Cutchogue, NY no later than November 18th, 2020.
