Dear Mr. and Mrs. Marino:
In response to your email dated July 31, 2020, the-Board of7rustees reviewed the
request to trim trees-on your property as shown-in the photographs provided and as
seen by Trustee Glenn Goldsmith on August 13, 2020.
The Board of Trustees determined that the requested trees may be pruned and the
dead wood removed at this time. No permit will be required in order to trim these trees
as shown in photographs provided.
Any other activity within 100' of the wetland boundary requires a permit from this office.
This is not a determination from any other agency.

Diane, on 07/27/2020, an extremely large tree branch broke free on
our property at 580 Lupton Point Road, Mattituck. The branch fell
onto a car in the driveway severely damaged the vehicle. See
attached pictures.
Upon inspection by Shamrock Tree Service, there are several limbs
and deadwood that should be removed. Some of the trees that are
in need of pruning are close to the water's edge.
We wish to avoid further hazard and mitigate future risk. No trees
are to be removed.
We need the Town's permission to trim some of these trees as they
are close to the water. Please see attached pictures of the trees.
We give the Town permission to come on to the property and
inspect the trees that need trimming and grant the required
permission to proceed.
