HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 09/10/2019 RESOLUTION 2019-800 ADOPTED DOC ID: 15564 THIS IS TO CERTIFY THAT THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION NO. 2019-800 WAS ADOPTED AT THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD ON SEPTEMBER 10, 2019: WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Southold is desirous of acquiring a parcel of real property as set forth hereinafter, and WHEREAS, the said property is situated at 12500 Main Road, Mattituck, Town of Southold, New York (SCTM No. 1000, Section 114, Block 11, Lot 17), being a parcel of real property which is required for the creation of a public park, and WHEREAS, in order to acquire the said parcel it is necessary that an appraisal of the value of the property be made in order that a fair and reasonable amount may be offered and paid to the owner of the real property, and WHEREAS, in order to acquire said parcel it may be necessary that certain title, appraisal and engineering services be performed; now, therefore be it RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby authorizes and directs the Town Attorney to proceed to acquire a parcel of real property situated at 12500 Main Road, Mattituck, Town of Southold, New York (SCTM No. 1000, Section 114, Block 11, Lot 17), by negotiated purchase or by the exercise of Eminent Domain; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to retain the services of a title examiner as well as an appraiser in furtherance of the acquisition of the real property herein; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to appoint an engineer for the purpose of performing engineering and related services as they may be required for the acquisition of the real property herein.
