Glen here from the God's Love We Deliver charity bicycle ride. (I think that God's Love is going to be doing a LOT more free meal `deliveries to sick people stuck at home on Long Island soon.'..) We need your advice here, and also want to make a suggestion please. Our event is currently scheduled for May 16th. Lord only, knows what the coronavirus 'situation will be then. (I certainly don't know!) is meeting at all these days. Not sure If the board g y A thought: We would like the board to please CONDITIONALLY approve our permit now, with the understand that they can decide at any time in the future-that it is not safe to proceed. In that case we would postpone the event immediately — we would never go against the board's wishes or threaten the safety of the community. Why the fuss? 4 Well... there are a LOT of different estimates out there on when things might be safe again, and some of them would put us pretty close to ride day. My concern is that if the permit process is C alted now, we could get up to the event and have the board say (justifiably) that it's OK to ride, but since the permit never made it before them in time to review, it can't be approved at the last minute. We would prefer, with your permission, that the permit be approved now, with the board reserving the right to revoke the permit at any time. Does that make sense? it I Your input always welcome here.
