Y. 11971 JAN 2 7 2020 CHARLES ROTHMAN November 23, 2019 I first moved to the house on the corner of Wells and Oaklawn when I was four years old, in 1956. At the time, there was a roofed porch with a floor of red paving bricks. By 1960, it had been screened in. In the summer, we would usually have dinner there and it was a spot for birthday parties and when my parents entertained. I remember it vividly on my 18th birthday in 1970, when my parents had people over. Eventually, it was enclosed, and the paving bricks replaced with concrete with flagstones. It was completed prior to 1973 while when I was in college, and I clearly remember it being there that summer(our cat gave birth out there). It kept the same footprint and roof that existed in 1956. Early memories of birthday parties and other celebrations. along with spending summer evenings on this porch stick out in my mind. When it was redone in the 1970s it only inproved the enjoyment of being able to utilize this space, for my parents, while not changing the original footprint of the house from when they purchased it.
