The bulkhead and dock are permitted under Wetland Permit No. 2159 issued in 1986.
Jeffrey Patanjo on behalf of DANIEL FOX requests a Wetland Permit for the removal and
replacement of 199 linear feet of existing bulkhead with new vinyl bulkhead in same location as
existing, and a 24 linear foot bulkhead return on westerly side; proposed bulkhead height to be
raised 18" above existing top cap elevation; install a 4'x6' cantilevered platform with a 30"wide by
14' long aluminum ramp leading to the relocated 6' wide by 60' long existing floating dock; and to
dredge 55 cubic yards of sand from area surrounding floating dock. Located: 470 Wiggins Lane,
Greenport. SCTM# 1000-35-4-28.28
The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the
Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy
Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form
submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that
the proposed action is CONSISTENT with the LWRP policies and therefore CONSISTENT with the
LWRP provided the following is required meet Policy 6.
1. Require the turbidity controls.
2. Establish a vegetated, non-turf buffer landward of the4 bulkhead.
-Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its
written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.

Planning Board
1. All applicants for permits' including Town of Southold agencies, shall complete this CCA.F for
proposed actions that are subject to the Town of Southold Waterfront Consistency Review Law. This
assessment is intended to supplement other information used by a Town of Southold agency in
making a determination of consistency. *Except minor exempt actions including Building Permits
and other ministerial permits not located within the Coastal Erosion Hazard Area.
2. Before answering the questions in Section C, the preparer of this form should review the exempt
minor action list,policies and explanations of each policy contained in the Town of Southold Local
Waterfront Revitalization Program. A proposed action will be evaluated as to its si uig ficant
beneficial and adverse effects upon.the coastal area(which includes all of Southold Tawny.
3. If any question in Section C on this form is answered "yes" or "no", then the proposed action will
affect the achievement of the LWRP policy standards and conditions contained in the consistency
review law. Thus, each answer must be explaimcd in deg ail, listing both sumorting and non-
supirorting facts. If an action cannot be certified as consistent with the LWRP policy standards and
conditions,it shall not be undertaken.
A copy of the LWRP is available in the following places: online at the Town of Southold's
website (southoldtown.northfork.net), the Board of Trustees Office, the Planning Department, all
local libraries and the Town Clerk's office.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Project includes the removal and replacement of 199 LF of existing bulkhead with new vinyl
bulkhead in same location as existing and 24 LF of bulkhead return. Proposed bulkhead to be
installed in same location as existing and raised height of 18" above existing top cap elevation.
In addition, a 4' wide x 6' long platform will be installed with a 30"wide x 14' long aluminum
ramp leading to the relocated 6'wide x 60' long existing floating dock. Dredge 55 CY of sand
from area surrounding floating dock as shown on plans and dispose of landward of proposed
bulkhead.
