I observed that the Kraft Faced Batt Insulation with R value of 21 was being installed between the wall studs and R value of 38 between the ceiling joists per contract documents. At the time of the site visit the plumbing wall was not insulated but remained opened for a plumbing inspection scheduled for the end of the month. The contractor also noted that one (1) piece of insulation was not fully installed between two ceiling joists because he had to tie in the toilet exhaust prior to inspection. It is the intent of the contractor to complete the installation of the batt insulation once the plumbing has been inspected and approved.
