William Wells, who owns a tract of land on the southerly side of Main Bayview Road, Southold, which he acquired from the Dayton Estate, has made application for a building permit for Lot No. 31 on his property. This tract has received approval as an open development area by you~ planning board. M~. Wells is in the process of filing his map in the County Clerk's Office at Rivenhead. This however, does require some time since it is necessary to secure various permits, including that of the Board of Health. Inasmuch as subsoil and water samples have to be sub- mitted to the Board of Health, we cannot file the map as soon as we would like to. You may be assured, how- ever, that as soon as the necessary permits and approvals are secured the map will be filed. In view of this delay in filing the map and our assurance that the same will be filed, we trust that you will issue a building permit to M~. APPLICATION FOR BUILDING PERMI? . INSTRUCTIONS a. This application must be completely filled in by typewriter or Jn ink and submitted in duplicate to the Building Inspector. b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets or areas, and giving a detailed description of layout of property must be drawn on the diagram which is part of this location. c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit. d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issue a Building Permit to the applicant. Such permit shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the progress of the work. e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose whatever until a Certificate of Occupancy shall have been granted by the Building Inspector.
