Dear Mr. Weber:
In response to your letter dated July 3, 2019, the Board of Trustees reviewed your
request to remove "Tree #1 and Tree #2" located on the above named property, and as
seen by Trustee John J. Bredemeyer on July 8, 2019.
The Board of Trustees determined that the two trees may be removed at this time. No
permit will be required in order to remove these two trees.
As per plans received in Trustee office July 3, 2019 —"These two trees to be removed
at homeowner discretion".
Additionally, it is okay to remove autumn olive in 20' non-disturbance area.
Any other activity within 100' of the wetland boundary requires a permit from this office.
This is not a determination from any other agency.

On the morning of the last Trustee Public Hearing(June 19,2019)for the proposed
amendments to the Katona Residence Trustee approval,I received a letter from an
arborist outlining issues with an existing tree identified as "Tree#1" on the attached site
plan. It is because of this letter that we would like to request permission to remove this
tree. We would also like to ask permission to remove another tree identified as"Tree#2"
on the attached site plan as this tree is not a significant or attractive and hangs over the
house/garage.
Please review the attached site plan and let us know if you would agree to this course of
action.

1,Jonathan Shipman, owner of Shamrock Tree-Company and Board-Certified Master Arborist
NY-1159B-inspected a property at 160 Inlet Ln_Greenport. On the water side of the house there
is a black oak tree with a hole in the trunk and multiple wounds on the cambium below the
hole.This tree is potentially hazardous and is likely-to fail in severe weather.Aside from this
removal there is a significant amount of pruning in the trees-on the waterside. Removal of
dead, diseased, and broken limbs is recomI ended_The many large dead limbs pose a threat�o
the well-being of any persons utilizing the space below the trees_All work will be done in such a
way to have no negative impact on the ecologically sensitive area, and will be directed by
myself a Board-Certified Master Arborist_Ifthere are any questions about this assessment 1 can
