HomeMy WebLinkAboutLP-01/07/2020 LAND PRESERVATION COMMITTEE MEETING Minutes & Discussion Notes from Meeting held Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. Town Hall Annex Executive Board Room Members Present: Sam McCullough, Chairperson Anne Murray Eric Keil Doris McGreevy Lillian Ball Will Lee Members Absent: John Simicich Also present: Melissa Spiro, Land Preservation Coordinator Melanie Doroski, Land Preservation Secretary Bob Ghosio, Town Board Liaison Commencement  The meeting began at 7:00 p.m. with six LPC members present. Committee Minutes and Administration  Acceptance of LPC meeting minutes from December 10, 2019 MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Lillian Ball, to accept the 12/10/2019 LPC meeting minutes. Motion carried: 6/0  Next Regular LPC Meeting Date The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 21, 2020. Land Preservation Applications & Potential Applications MOTION made by Eric Keil, seconded by Anne Murray, to enter into EXECUTIVE SESSION - Proposed Acquisitions of Real Property Where Publicity Would Substantially Affect the Value Thereof Motion carried: 6/0 The LPC members entered in EXECUTIVE SESSION at 7:08 p.m. Land Preservation Coordinator gave updates on inquiries, new applications, appraisals and current applications. MOTION made by Eric Keil, seconded by Anne Murray, to end Executive Session. Motion carried: 6/0 EXECUTIVE SESSION ENDED at 8:18 p.m. Inquiries for Uses or Structures on Preserved Property None Stewardship and Management: None General Land Preservation Items:  YEAR END REPORT Land Preservation Coordinator Melissa Spiro gave year-end report on 2019 completed preservation projects showing 260.9 acres preserved and $14,605,436 spent. This includes all Town and County projects for farmland preservation, open space, and conservation easement for recreational purposes.  FARMLAND PROGRAM DISCUSSION Not discussed due to time constraints. Adjournment: MOTION made by Eric Keil, seconded by Doris McGreevy, to adjourn this meeting.
