HomeMy WebLinkAboutLP-11/26/2019 LAND PRESERVATION COMMITTEE MEETING Minutes & Discussion Notes from Meeting held Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. Town Hall Annex Executive Board Room Members Present: Sam McCullough, Chairperson Doris McGreevy Will Lee John Simicich Lillian Ball Anne Murray Eric Keil (7:14 p.m.) Members Absent: none Also present: Melissa Spiro, Land Preservation Coordinator Melanie Doroski, Land Preservation Secretary Bob Ghosio, Town Board Liaison Commencement  The meeting began at 7:03 p.m. with six LPC members present. Committee Minutes and Administration  Acceptance of LPC meeting minutes from October 15, 2019 and October 29, 2019 HOLD – LPC meeting minutes from 10/15/2019 MOTION made by Will Lee, seconded by Anne Murray, to accept the 10/29/2019 LPC meeting minutes. Motion carried: 6/0 (LPC member Eric Keil not present at time of vote)  Next Regular LPC Meeting Date The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 10, 2019. Land Preservation Applications & Potential Applications MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Lillian Ball, to enter into EXECUTIVE SESSION - Proposed Acquisitions of Real Property Where Publicity Would Substantially Affect the Value Thereof Motion carried: 6/0 (LPC member Eric Keil not present at time of vote) The LPC members entered in EXECUTIVE SESSION at 7:04 p.m. Land Preservation Coordinator gave updates on inquiries, new applications, appraisals and current applications. MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Eric Keil, to end Executive Session. Motion carried: 7/0 EXECUTIVE SESSION ENDED at 9:03 p.m. MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Anne Murray, to direct Land Preservation Coordinator Melissa Spiro to present open space preservation project discussed during Executive Session to the Town Board for authorization to enter into partnership with the County for the proposed acquisition of fee title to the subject property. (Motion No. 2019-16) Motion carried: 7/0 Inquiries for Uses or Structures on Preserved Property None Stewardship and Management:  NARROW RIVER / BROAD MEADOWS MARSH RESTORATION PROJECT Update re: 11/22/2019 meeting on project HOLD – not discussed due to time constraints General Land Preservation Items:  FARMLAND PROGRAM DISCUSSION HOLD – not discussed due to time constraints Adjournment: MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Eric Keil, to adjourn this meeting.
