Monthly Meeting

Chair's Report
1. Met with Supervisor Russell to discuss issues related to conduct of HPC
business.
2. Welcomed Tracy Dwyer as our new administrative assistant. Met with Tracey,
Anne and Robert to provide orientation to protocols for conduct of HPC business.
3. Presentation on History of Orient Historic District and " istoric
Preservation" to 50 attendees at Orient Congregational Church supper event. 5
April 2019.
4. Conducted two public hearings for Orient Historic District applications.
5. Welcomed new commission member, Joseph McCarthy. Provided brief
orientation to bring him up to speed on public hearings.
6. Arranged for use of Brecknock Hall for Harper's presentation on historic
windows and shutters. Attended presentation.
7. Several meetings with town attorney to discuss issues related to conduct of
HPC business.
8. Responded to e-mail and phone inquiries from public relating to historic
district issues.
9. Prepared agenda and supporting materials for monthly HPC meeting.
