Myself, Clifford T. Case along with the other owners of the adjacent property At 13020 New Suffolk Ave., have had flooding and mosquito issues with the wet- Lands and are concerned this plan will worsen the problem. The gravel road east of the cottage that this plan is to remove has not been used For fifty years and has become a natural barrier for the wetlands. Secondly this road was a right of way to our property. Please advise us as to your permitting of this plan as we are concerned about the Environmental Impact. Thank You, Clifford T. Please advise the Board members of the following: The flagged trees were for identified for the purposes of having the surveyor plot the trees on his survey. The landscape architect is identifying the trees to keep the trees (not remove them) and to possibly relocate, if necessary. The project will have an IA system...this is the design-of the IA system. It is shown for the purposes of the NYSDEC permit. The wetlands was flagged by Bowman. the pool is 117' from the flagged wetlands. We increased the setbacks. We placed structures at more than 100' from the "edge of bank" (the lighter green highlighted area is the buffer) We can discuss the plan at the hearing the plan. We are hoping we will have the landscape plan soon, first the surveyor has to return to the property to plot the trees which were flagged. Thank you. Pat PATRICIA C. We checked with the surveyor and a maximum of 200 cy of fill may be required for the new sanitary system & garage demolition. (all this is out of trustee's jurisdiction- but I will include the fill) As to trees....we have a landscape architect who is trying to limit removal of significant trees. The proposed house is located in an area which is primarily lawn. If you let me know which meeting we will be on, I will have building envelopes staked for the inspection. The landscape architect has actually tagged the trees she wanted to keep or relocate. As soon as I have a more detailed landscape architect's plan I will submit it...architect is having the surveyor plot existing significant trees for preservation, if possible. Pat PATRICIA C. A permit cannot be issued for a portion of a structure, full dimensions are required for any and all structures that are proposed to be built within trustee jurisdiction even if only part of it is within Trustee jurisdiction (i.e. full sq.ft. footprint of dwelling plus how many stories; full size of proposed pool, patios, trellis, terrace, porch, steps to ground etc.). As it appears that all structures are interconnected (structures 1 J surrounded by proposed patio), all structures proposed that are connected to proposed dwelling need to be added to the application. As a portion of the proposed parking area(s) and driveway fall into Trustee jurisdiction, the entire sq.ft. size of each and type (gravel/asphalt/other) needs to be applied for. I understand what you need and I am adding the size of the entire structure to the description... 2) You are welcome to keep in the verbiage regarding the amount of square footage that is within Trustee Jurisdiction to help depict the scope of the work within jurisdiction. Agreed...this made more sense to me. 3) In addition to the proposed buffers, if any modification to the existing vegetation/trees/undergrowth is to be proposed within Trustee jurisdiction, this must also be applied for within said permit. I will double check with the Landscape Architect. The survey which the architects used for their site plan showed the existing "edge of clearing line"...I will double check with architect if there is additional clearing beyond the obvious (building envelopes of the house & pool) 4) The proposed project plans are incomplete. The plans only show the dimensions of the parts of proposed structures within Trustee jurisdiction, the plans do not show the dimensions of each fully proposed structure. The plans need to be updated to show the dimensions for each proposed structure. The sizes are shown on the side of the architect's plans....the sizes of all the structures are listed- we were trying to keep the drawings less busy (this was also needed for lot coverage calculations)...is it OK where it is or do you want the architect to show the square footage within the buildings? 5) The seaward side terrace is to be above grade, please specify approximately how high the terracing is proposed to be. The drawings show the finished elevations of all the structures... by example the grade is at elevation S and the terrace of the pool is shown at elevation 9.75 that is a terrace that is @1.75 feet above grade....all the elevations of the structures are shown in the center of the structure....do you want me to include this in the project description? This was a pretty long project description! 6) As questions were not answered on the Wetland/Trustee Lands Application Data page, please fully complete said page as required. If any fill is being proposed please add the amount of proposed fill being brought onto the property to the project description. I must have gotten interrupted while filling it in (of course!) ...so sorry I will get this from the architect right away. Pat PATRICIA C.
