Located: 1940 Mason Drive, Cutchogue. SCTM# 1000-104-7-16.1 The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that the action is CONSISTENT with the Policy Standards and therefore is CONSISTENT with the LWRP provided the following is considered. The proposed action is located within a NYSDOS Significant Coastal Fish and Wildlife Habitat Area. Correspondingly, the NYSDEC Environmental Mapper indicates that the parcel is located within a rare plants and rare animal area. This area identifies generalized locations of animals and plants that are rare in New`York State, including but not limited to those listed as endangered and threatened. Impacts-to protected species are not expected. To further Policy 4 the following is recommended: 1. The proposed placement of fill on the parcel with a (unspecified amount and type of material), may cause storm water to run-off towards the adjacent property located at 2050 Mason Drive. It is recommended that the Board address the issue. To further Policy 6 the following is recommended: 1. Maintain the 10'wide no turf/no-mow zone landward of wetland boundary as established in Wetland Permit 7002A. 2. Highest expected groundwater is shown at 2.5 feet below the surface due to close proximity of surface waters. The installation of a I/A OWTS is recommended. Degrading the water quality in Cutchogue Harbor or the adjacent wetlands and creeks,would adversely affect the biological productivity of this area. All species of fish and wildlife may be affected by water pollution due to cumulative nutrient loading from on-site sanitary systems. Grant money and funding may be available from Reclaimourwater.info Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.
