The meeting began at 7:06 p.m. with six LPC members present.
Committee Minutes and Administration
Acceptance of LPC meeting minutes from July 9, 2019
MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Anne Murray, to accept the 7/9/2019 LPC meeting
minutes.
Motion carried: 4/0/2 (LPC members Doris McGreevy and Lillian Ball cannot vote as they were not in
attendance for the 7/9/2019 LPC meeting. LPC member Eric Keil not present at
time of vote.)
Next Regular LPC Meeting Date

The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 20, 2019. No meeting on August 6.
Land Preservation Applications & Potential Applications
MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Anne Murray, to enter into EXECUTIVE SESSION -
Proposed Acquisitions of Real Property Where Publicity Would Substantially Affect the Value
Thereof
Motion carried: 6/0 (LPC member Eric Keil not present at time of vote)
The LPC members entered in EXECUTIVE SESSION at 7:08 p.m.
Land Preservation Coordinator gave updates on inquiries, new applications, appraisals and current
applications.
MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Anne Murray, to end Executive Session.
Motion carried: 6/0 (LPC member Eric Keil not present at time of vote)
EXECUTIVE SESSION ENDED at 7:38 p.m.
MOTION, made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Anne Murray, to direct Land Preservation
Coordinator to present a proposed purchase offer to the landowner for a development rights easement
on a certain parcel of agricultural land discussed while in Executive Session at a price per acre
supported by the Town’s authorized appraisal. The proposed offer is subject to review by and approval
of the Town Board. (Motion No. 2019-12)

General Land Preservation Items:
SOUTHOLD TOWN COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
o Two opportunities for public comment:
1. Planning Board public hearing: Monday, July 29, 2019 at 6pm, Southold Town Hall
2. Town Board public hearing. Date and time to be announced.
Series of informational meetings throughout the town during August 2019 to help inform and
prepared the public for the Town Board public hearing. See Town Website for dates, times
and locations.
LPC reviewed the goals and objectives set forth in the Land Preservation Chapter of the Southold Town
Comprehensive Plan.
