Project Description: For the existing timber bluff stairway consisting of a 9'x10'top
landing, 3'x15' steps, 3'x5' landing, 3'x14' steps, 3'x5' landing, 3'x8' steps, 3'x5' landing,
and 3'x4' steps; an existing 18'x36' in-ground swimming pool; an existing pool patio with
approximate overall dimensions of 42'x52'after the proposed removal of the most
seaward 8'x42' section of patio, which shall be equipped with a "Spee-D Channel" drain
connected to a proposed 8'x6' drywell; removal of an existing wire pool fence and
installation of pool enclosure fencing around the finished patio; relocation of an existing
plastic fence to a 10' setback from the top of bluff; removal of all remnants of existing
walls, deck, and gravel in an area adjacent to the top of bluff to be restored with native
vegetation; and the establishment of a 10'wide non-turf buffer adjacent to the top of bluff.
Findings: The project meets all the requirements for issuance of an Administrative
Permit set forth in Chapter 275 of the Southold Town Code. The issuance of an
Administrative Permit allows for the operations as indicated on the survey prepared by
Nathan Taft Corwin, III, Land Surveyor, last dated September 8, 2016, and stamped
approved on October 19, 2016.
Special Conditions: The Permittee is required to provide evidence that a copy of this
Trustee permit has been recorded with the Suffolk County Clerk's Office as a notice
covenant and deed restriction to the deed of the subject parcel. Such evidence shall be
provided within ninety(90) calendar days of issuance of this permit.
Inspections: Final Inspection.
If the proposed activities do not meet the requirements for issuance of an Administrative
Permit set,forth in Chapter 275 of the Southold Town Code, a Wetland Permit will be
required.

The following action was taken by the Southold Town Board of Trustees at their Regular
Meeting held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018
RESOLVED that the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVE the Administrative
Amendment to Administrative Permit#8888A to remove the existing 1,315sq.ft. masonry patio
in its entirety(leaving existing paver walls landward of the proposed 10'wide non-turf buffer in
place); placement of approximately 80 cubic yards of clean sand/loam to fill the patio void;
elimination of the proposed patio drainage system; and installation of 4' high pool enclosure
fencing along the westerly and easterly property lines, extending south from the ends of the
relocated plastic fencing; and as depicted on the survey prepared by Nathan Taft Corwin III

Any other activity within 100' of the wetland boundary requires a permit from this office.

existing swimming pool,we have no objection to suitable temporary security fencing being installed on this site during
the pendency of our review which may take some time.

Additionally,we have attached the latest site plan from Nathan Corwin dated 3-16-18,a copy of the
recently amended Trustees permit as well as a copy of the originally issued Trustees permit.

Mike,I'm following up on our January 2nd telephone conversation,during which you offered to inspect the property
yourself to verify my client's claim that contrary to the inspection report issued on November 7,2018,he did not in fact
reconstruct the attached waterside deck but merely re-decked it and added new railings,consistent with the indications
noted in his prior inspection history.
I dont know if you've had a chance to get out there yet but he has since called to advise me that the unpermitted outdoor
shower and surrounding 6'fence have been removed and that the fence deficiencies have been corrected. Therefore,I am
hoping that you will also be able to inspect these items when you visit or were able to do so if you were out there
already. Either way,please let me know so that I know what else we need to do to get all of his issues resolved and
finally close out the long outstanding pool permit.
