There are two applications pending for this property. The first application is to replace existing drainage structures built in 2000 with properly installed drywells, and relocate any drainage constructed on or in close proximity of the bluff away from the top of the bluff. This application will list all proposed activities. We are revising the drainage plan in accordance with certain requests for additional information made by Jamie Richter,Town Engineer. The second application was for permits for all existing structures (House, slate terrace in front of house, "u"shaped roofed portion of the house located in the front of the house to be enclosed.) The"u" shape enclosure to the front of the house was a very minor repair to the existing house (#5244). Since the house had a Trustee's permit, the building'department issued a building permit for this small alteration to the existing"permitted"house. After this application was filed by Robert Wilson a search of the Town Trustee's records showed that the existing house, bulkheads, retaining walls and stairs all have Trustees Wetland and Coastal Erosion permits. I have attached to this letter an outline of the existing permits z s Before this application is withdrawn,we do want to confirm that 1)"u"shape enclosure to the existing house does not need a permit and 2) the existing beach- stairs (listed in permit#7429) can be repaired/resurfaced. At the site inspection the Board believed that the repairs to the beach stairs are considered normal maintenance. If these two items do not require new permits then this application can be withdrawn. That was good news! So the house permits should proceed...my application was for permits for all existing structures & renovations to existing house. the second application was for the patio- I delivered the plans to Jamie Richter @ 1.5 weeks ago...I should have dropped off a copy of the letter (CC: Trustees- I will have Betsy email it to you)....I do not know if you will get the response from Jamie or I will...he knew from my letter that the Trustees wanted his review. The Patio was existing (built a long time ago and shows up on prior permit plans& surveys)...it is being resurfaced on sand & drainage added & made smaller (made better)...patio on grade is not a "structure" and it remains pervious....I have not seen patios on grade go for CEH variances. Lets me know if this gets back on the calendar. Pat PATRICIA C.
