Next Meeting(s): The next regular AAC meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 7:00 pm in the Southold Town Hall Conference room. The following AAC meeting will be held on May 22, 2019 at 7:00 pm in the Southold Town Hall Conference room. Minutes and Administration: Meeting Minutes of April 3, 2019- on hold, no quorum present. Proposed Agricultural Revisions to Town Code: General review of parcels with sections of development rights sold and sections not sold. Discussion of processing vs. storage area(s)/building(s). Discussion of ways to streamline AG PDD language for clarity. Requested Town Attorney attend the next meeting to clarify development rights sold/not sold. Aquaculture/Mariculture reviewed by Karen Rivara. Permit review-to be clarified with Code Committee. Accessory uses reviewed. Regulations reviewed. Processing product reviewed. Assembly of a list of permits for the Town to review along with a flowchart detailing aqua/mariculture process. Review of Agricultural related Site Plan Applications/Sub-Divisions: No new applications submitted to the committee for review. Review Proposed zoning changes in Agricultural Districts: No new proposed zoning changes submitted to the committee. Town of Southold Agricultural Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes of April 17, 2019 Local, County, State and Federal Legislation related to Agriculture: Reminder about the public hearing to be held in Smithtown County Legislature Building on April 26, 2019 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Topic: Farmworkers Fair Labor Practices Act in the New York State Senate. Rights to collective bargaining The elimination of the overtime exemption Housing rights Committee to submit a letter to be read at the Smithtown Public Hearing on April 26, 2019. Discussion on the effects of this legislation on the farming community. Review Applications for structures related to Agriculture on parcels with Town /County owned development rights. No new applications submitted to the committee for review. Easement language included in the packet distributed to committee for review at a later date. New Business: None.
