PRESENT: Marjorie Day,David Schultz,Valerie Shelby, LeRoy Heyliger,Christopher North,Susan Dingle, Loretta Hatzel-Geraci,Chief Martin Flatley Guest: Catherine Crook,Joan Hughes Excused: Jean LePre, Eleanor Lingo, Emily Geiger,Carolyn Peabody Absent: Christine McFall and Nydia Palencia 1. There is a motion to accept the �nutes with the Corrections; 1.In attendance: William Ruland /Deputy Supervisor, Denis Noncarrow,and David Schultz, 2. Terms run through the 31n of the month. April 1,2019 is start date of term for new members. 2. MLK-programs reviewed and approved (includes volunteering opportunities for all ear long which will be on the ABTF website. 3. Synergy: subcommittee mtg will be on Jan.28,2019 at 10:30 am at St Agnes hall. 4. a. No police report b.Schools: Oysterponds: no report Greenport: new code of conduct being drafted. Pillars of conduct are sent home with elementary children. Discussion includes advising the board that the E. parking lot needs to be filled in. The potholes are dangerous. Southold: no new report but David is unable to access website. He will notify the school of this problem. Members would like to know who the DASA rep is. , New Suffolk: no report Susan will go to next meeting. Mattituck: The MLK flyer was available at the meeting. Culture and Diversity committee; Brian Mealy introduced 2 students. Fisher's Island: no report 5. Dignity ACT: -yearly report; reminder letter will be sent to all schools for accountability. Are there going to be cuts in budget for special needs children? 6. New Business: NAACP site: Ask Lucius Ware to come to address how to start a new chapter? Erase Racism event: Susan went to Riverhead presentation;genetic component of racism was addressed. There were small group discussions that followed. Can we follow up with other ABTF's to implement a plan?Another thought was; When will Erase Racism offer their Part 2 training on the E End? Susan will draft an email to Kelly Abernathy,contact person for the Erase Racism. 7. Books approved to be purchased by the Frank LePre fund for schools are Bullying Hurts(Adults) And for children a) Ruth and the Green Book b) Juneteenth There is a motion to adjourn at 11:30.
