If this plan could be submitted before Monday, March 18, 2019 so that they can review it during their work session on the 18th it would be of great assistance. CLEVELAND, JR SCTM# 1000-9-8-6 J.M.O. Environmental Consulting on behalf of DONALD L. CLEVELAND, JR. requests a Wetland Permit to remove all remains of existing old dock; construct a 4'x55' fixed dock; and install two (2) tie-off piles. Located: 1305 Winthrop Drive, Fishers Island. SCTM# 1000-9-8-6 The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, the proposed action is recommended as CONSISTENT with the LWRP provided the Board considers: 1. Potential navigation conflicts with the Navy Dock to the south and vessel operation of the Fisher Island Ferry. 2 Verify how a vessel would be moored at the dock. Will it project past the terminus? 3. The reduction of CCA treated materials in the dock construction to further Policy 6. 4. Use of thru flow decking to further Policies 4 and 6. 1 believe eelgrass has been reported in the area. 4 - :r' •# g,. h.a'§P'>a ', >' `£ ry `3,,,C„ '` tl 4'r `„ ear _ £ -s" ' ' S'P'A * "' • £'. 3 'b= 'S fi, + z.,.rya,*"' . The action is not located within the Coastal Erosion Hazard Area: Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action. I have attached copies of the plans as well. I reviewing them I have noted that they depict that the proposed dock is almost the same length as the remains of the old dock which were located in 2008. The plans also note that the seaward end of the proposed dock will be located 228' from the bulkhead at the ferry terminal. Glenn Just JMO Environmental Consulting P.O.
