Rossi To Depot Lane Appellant Cutchogue, New York. at a meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals on Thursday, May 21, 1959 the appeal was considered and the action indicated below was taken on your ( ) Request for variance due to lack of access to property ( ) Request for a special permit under the Zoning Ordinance ( ) Request for a variance to the Zoning Ordinance ( X) Request for a special exception to the Zoning Ordinance 1. SPECIAL PERMIT. By resolution of the Board it was determined that a special permit ( ) be granted ( ) be denied pursuant to Article......................Section .................... Subsection.................... paragraph...................... of the Zoning Ordinance, and the decision of the Building Inspector ( ) be reversed ( ) be confirmed because $--VARIANCE. By resolution of the Board it was determined that "­Strict application of the Ordinance (would) (would not) produce undue hardship because "--The hardship created (is) (is not) unique and (would) (would not) be shared by all properties aFike-in the immediate vicinity of this property and in the some use district because "--The variance (does) (does not) observe the spirit of the Ordinance and (would) (would not) change the-character of the district because and-therefore, it was further determined that the requested variance ( ) be granted ( ) be denied ar&that the previous decisions of the Building Inspector ( ) be confirmed ( ) be reversed. 3. SPECIAL EXCEPTION: Whereas the public convenience and welfare and justice will be served and the legally established or permitted use of neighborhood property will not be substantially or permanently injured and the spirit of the Ordinance will be observed, be it RESOLVED that the application be granted as amended for permission for the Duck Point Motel to erect a directional sign on Duck Pond Road on property of Barris. Permission is also granted for the erection of a new directional sign, double faced and illuminated, approximately 600 feet west of the intersection of Depot Lane and Route 27 A on property of Barris. All signs to be at least five feet from any property line and are subject to revocation.
