,s requested for the reason thcs I wish to reopen or sell the property kmown as "L~ke Lodge"
as a hotel business as it was operated before the zoning ordinance was adopted. It was
planned some time ago to add some rental cabins on this property, which has not been
done as yet. onszeeratzon of this fact~is requested ~t this time.

1. STRICT APPLICATION OF THE ORDINANCE wo d produce UNDUE HARDSHIP because I this
property was purchased about 1932. and ha een used as a restaur<nt. hotel. labor
camp during the war. and bpuaed about 2 at that time. This property was used &II
8 hotel up to January or Febuary of 195 r The building i. perticularlY well suited
to a restaurant & hotel operation rather than to a residential uee~ It i. in ay
opinion an unnecessary hardship. and impractical to be denied the continued uee of
thill building 8S it hall' been in the pest. There are three and on half aorell in the
plot the building i9 located upon. There were lIeveral accessory buildinge on the
pr~l!elo~blt,'ftre~dest~ql!~_v.rastormll. these were used in connection with the hotel.

vicinity of this property and in this use district because I This is the only large building. that
hall had a similar use in the area.
3. The Variance would observe the spirit of the Ordinance and WOULD NOT CHANGE THE

new hOlies in the area. the building remains all it was for many yearll. therll is a
boy's camp _ short distance westerly from the location whi.~ has been in continuioue
