hereby apply to THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS for a SPECIAL EXCEPTION in accordance
with the ZONING ORDINANCE ARTICLE ii!ri SECTION 306
SUBSECTION
THE SPECIAL EXCEPTION IS REQUESTED BECAUSE~ I wish to build a new dwelling
on lot # 100~ Goose ~eck Estates~ Bay View Road~ Southold~ N.~. This
is an odd shaped lot~ very narrow at the rear~ and is a corner lot
where it would cause a hardship to keep the dwelling at the established
building line of 29 feet on Smith Drive,North. I wish to se~ the
side of the house on that street at 2~ feet from the property line~
There is an established building line of 23 feet on the cross street..
The hardship is ~_uique in that this lot is the one that was left
after others in the block were laid out in a more uniform pattern~
and due to the angle of the street intersection.
The dwelling would have its fronton the side street.
It would not change the charicter of the neighborhood~ as there is
no regularly established building line in the development. Each
dwelling having been set at the owners desired steback before the
zoning ordinance w~s adopted.
Further ~uformation will be supplied at the request of the Board
of Appeals.

INSTRUCTIONS
a. This application must be completely filled in by typewriter or in ink and submitted?in duplicate to the Building
Inspector.
b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets
or areas, and giving a detailed description of layout of property must be drawn on the diagram which is part of this location.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of 'Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issue a Building Permit to the applicant. Such
permit shall be kept on the premises ava,liable for inspection throughout the progress of the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole, or in part for any purpose whatever until a Certificate of Occupancy
shall have been granted by the Building Inspector.
APPLICATION IS HEREBY MADE to the Building Department for the issuance of a Building Permit pursuant to the
Building Zone Ordinance of the. Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, and other applicable Laws, Ordinances or
