The above referenced permit was received by me several months after the approval date as I was unaware that the permit had been approved. I had left the country for several months to care for my ailing father, who subsequently passed away. I did not receive any messages as I had no cellular service in the foreign country. Subsequently, the stress and sorrow of my ordeal had its own consequences on my health as I became ill. An inspection was requested prior to the expiration date of the permit. An inspection was conducted on the actual expiration date as that was the first available. During that inspection, I was provided a list of minor items to complete. I completed the items expeditiously as requested by the inspector, with the exception of the egress well ladders and grates that had to be special ordered. Notification regarding the delay with the special order items was provided to your office. My first knowledge of that requirement was brought to my attention by the inspector on the inspection that took place on the permit expiration date. The egress well requirements were installed upon their delivery. Given the exigent circumstances, your understanding in this matter is greatly appreciated.
