REASON FOR APPEAL Continued
1. STRICT APPLICATION OF THE ORDINANCE would produce UNDUE HARDSHIP because
The two buildings on ?revises were in existance prior to the adoption
of the Zoning-0rdinance.~ Both were used for Residential'Purposes
2. The hardship createdis UNIQUEand'b notshared by all properties alike ih the immediate
vicinity ofthi$ propert? and in th~use district beca~
The two dwellings are very close together near the water
(Peconic Bay)~whereas other properties the buildings are
further apart.
3. The Variance would obse~e ~he spirit of the Ordinance and WOULD NOT CHANGE THE
CHARACTER OF THE DISTRICT because many of the plots have cottages ~for
s~umner use placed close together fronting on Peconic Bay and the
board fence and garage wall at the west would screen any possibility
of troubling the neighbor to the west of the proposed addition.
