The Variance would obse~e ~he spirit of the Ordinance and WOULD NOT CHANGE THE CHARACTER OF THE DISTRICT because many of the plots have cottages ~for s~umner use placed close together fronting on Peconic Bay and the board fence and garage wall at the west would screen any possibility of troubling the neighbor to the west of the proposed addition.
