The Variance would obserYe the spirit Of the O~inance and WOULD NOT CHANGE::THE CHARACTER OF THE DISTRICT because~ This is a residential area where there is an old barn on the opposite side of the street with a setback approximately the s~me as requested for the proposed garage, t~aple Ave is a little used street where the proposed use would not create a traffic hazard or otherwise interfere with the area in any way.
