Upon request of Gary Olsen, Attorney, Main Road, Mattituck, for
a Pre -Existing Certificate of Occupancy, I made an inspection
of this one story framed dwelling. I was admitted to building
by Ms. Wolfe and began inspection at approximately 10:20 A.M.
The building consists of two bedrooms, a living room,
kitchen, full bathroom, and enclosed front porch. Interior of
building is unfinished except the partitions for rooms that are
paneled on one side. There are no ceilings and roof rafters
are exposed. Building's foundation are locust posts.
The following violations of the Housing Code, Chapter 52,
Town of Southold, were found:
Front Entry - no means of controlling light in room on
entry. Article V, Section 52-56 B.2.
Living Room - Lamp cord outlet on north and east wall.
Article V, Section 52-56 A.I.
Bedroom, Outer - Lamp cord outlet on west partition.
Article V, Section 52-56 A.l.
Bathroom - No moisture resistant floor covering.
Article II, Section 52-26 B.4.
Waterpump: Electrical hookup to electric motor, two
wire, no ground wire and connector at
terminal box. Art. V, Sec. 52-56 A.1.
Heating - No central heating system, seasonal occupancy
only. Art. V, Sec. 52-53 A.1. (Amended
6/8/72. General Building Construction,
State Building Construction Code.)
Exterior - Celotex siding, sections are loose and
