Upon receipt of an application for a Pre-Certificate of
Occupancy I made an inspection of the building on this premises.
I was admitted to this dwelling by Mrs. Whelan who accompanied
me during this inspection that began at approximately 3:20 P.M.
The building is a two story wood framed structure constructed
on a poured concrete foundation that provides a slab for first
floor rooms consisting of a kitchen~ living room~ bathroom and
three bedrooms. Second floor has two bedrooms~ a full bathroom
and attic area used for storage. An attached garage is located on
west side of dwelling and an enclosed porch is attached to north end
of building. Heat is furnished to building from a gas fired space
heater located in living room.
The following violations of the Housing Code of the Town of
Southold~ N.Y. Chapter 52~ were found:
Gas CookinE ranEe -no shut off valve at unit~ Article V,
Section 52-52 B-2
Stairway - for access to seeond floor top rises not equal
with other rises of stair. Open side~ no handrail.
Article II, Section 52-26 A.B
EtSctrical - two open electrical boxes on exterior north wall
of attic. Article V~ Section 52-56 A.1
Gas fired -Hot water heater~ installed against kraft paper
of insulation on south wall of attached garage. Article V~
Section 52-53 F.
Inspection completed at approximately 3:45 P.M.
