Mr. Peter Karas, East Marion, New York, came before the Board of Appeals for an informal discussion relative to erecting a third sign on his "B" Business property at west Greenport. Mr. Karas had been granted a special exception on June 4, 1959 giving him permission to erect a roof sign on the Greenport Snack Bar, however, it was stipulated that this roof sign was to take the place of the customary standing sign, since he would then have, in effect, two wall signs. Mr. Karas now agreed that he would take down the wall sign on the west side of the Snack Bar if he is granted permission to have a standing sign. The Board of Appeals st ated that that would be satisfactory as long as the wall sign is taken down first.
